Interesante la lista que se ha marcado la NME, y para no romper con costumbres centenarias; polémica y criticada. Da igual si llevan razón o no, merece la pena darle un repaso. EL VETERANO CANTANTE PIROPEA HASTA LA SACIEDAD A UNA DESCONOCIDA BANDA INGLESA

Hoy os presentamos a Doll and The Kicks, y el porqué es muy sencillo; Steven Patrick Morrissey los ha señalado con su dedo mágico.

El exlider de The Smiths ha declarado que esta joven banda de Brighton, que por ahora no tiene ni discográfica, cuenta con la mejor voz que ha dado Gran Bretaña en muchos años. Hannah Scanlon la dama en cuestión se ha mostrado muy alagada ante el piropo del que ella llama Indie King.

Si queréis escuchar la voz de la muchacha o incluso acercaros a un concierto de su gira (no pasan por España, pero si por media Europa) lo tenéis todo en su MySpace.

Algo de razón puede que tenga…

Ahora, con el exSmith Johnny Marr como guitarrista, su trabajo parece haber ganado cuota de mercado entre puretas que no soportan las formas del indie actual, y también a todos aquellos que amamos el legado de The Smiths.

Marr ha comentado hace muy poco que es el mejor trabajo que ha echo en los últimos 25 años y que de verdad cree en el potencial del álbum, Ignore the Ignorant, que sera puesto a la venta mañana 7 de Septiembre.

El pasado Julio os dejamos el tracklist, y no hace mucho también colgamos el video de su nuevo single, así que os recuerdo que con busquéis The Cribs en el buscador del blog (esquina superior izquierda) encontrareis noticias relacionadas con ellos.

Parece ser que finalmente se confirmaron los rumores y el ex guitarrista de The Smiths, Johnny Marr, formará oficialmente parte de la banda The Cribs, con la que ya ha colaborado en la grabación de su nuevo álbum. Este disco saldrá a la venta el próximo 7 de septiembre, y llevará por título Ignore The Ignorant, además podremos disfrutar como adelanto del single “Cheat on Me”, que supuestamente sera puesto a la venta el 31 de agosto.
